My cousins came home (they're military and live out west) last month and we enjoyed such a wonderful couple of weeks getting our kids together! 

So of course we had to make time for family photos too:) Especially since there was an addition since their last visit home! 

Here's the thing. It was hot. And I mean brutally HOT. They hung in there though and praise God we did the family ones first! HAHA! Irelynn's beautiful blonde hair was drenched from the humidity and sweat not long after we started.

The Blackstocks | Family | Gretna, Virginia Photographer

So, to say that I am behind on blogging would be an UNDERSTATEMENT. I'm telling yall, raising 2 kiddos occupies A LOT of time! Hehehe but I am adjusting. Wanted to share some of my faves from my session with the Blackstocks. Their kids are all grown and married. Heather (their daughter) actually contacted me wanting the session. They live a few hours away and came in to visit for the session! She and her husband have such a beautiful baby girl! Her brother, E.W., and his wife actually announced some news during the session as well!

Anna | 1 year old | Danville, Virginia Family Photographer

So this catching up on blogging thing while on maternity leave hasn't been as easy to do as I thought it would be. Babies keep you busy! And now I have 2! Anyways, Baby Anna turned 1 this summer and we were able to have a fun session with her and her family downtown:)

Brande was one of my amazing teachers in high school. We were more than happy to do a family session for her:) Although, hurricane Sandy did kind of mess up our original plans. Nonetheless, we had a lovely day for their session. They are such a fun family!

We had a lot of fun with Doss Family last weekend! {Yes I am behind on blogging!} These two kids, Lathan and Sophie, were so bubbly and their smiles are just priceless! They really are...it's seriously difficult to get them both to smile at the same time! Hahaha! Anyways, Amanda contacted me for a Fall family portrait...and I'd say these are all keepers:)

Carrie & Kattie | Sister Session | Altavista, VA Photographer

Remember Kattie's Senior Session? Well she contacted me shortly after it to schedule a fall sister session! Of course I was happy to photograph her again:) And it was so nice to meet her sister, Carrie! These two sisters were a lot of fun...and showed me some beautiful countryside! We headed up to their farm by Leesville Lake, as well as an old country store.

Told ya they were tons of fun! So brave to get into that cold water! And then to jump up and down in it!

The Custers | Family Session | Chatham, Virginia Photographer

The Custers are some good friends of ours who live out of town...so since they were in for the weekend, they booked a session with us for their little family, and for Layla's turning ONE! We were so excited about this session! Layla is just too cute...and her Mommy and Daddy are so much fun to be around! I seriously think this is one of the cutest families ever!! It was too hard to pick only a few faves, so here are quite a few;) I'm not quite finished with the whole session yet, but these will hold them over!

Franklin Previews | "Me & My Boys" | Chatham, Virginia Photographer

Heather is a friend that I went to school with that I haven't seen in years! We keep in touch some on Facebook, but to say I was thrilled
