London's session in Altavista, Virginia was SO much fun! London traveled to me from northern VA just for her senior photos! It was exciting and we spent the whole evening walking around town and the park:)

Parker | Danville, Virginia Senior Photography

Parker's downtown Danville senior session was one for the books! We had so much fun, he was so photogenic, and I'm telling yall, I enjoy working with guys just as much as the girls!

Sunflowers and Kelsie | Gretna, Virginia Senior Photographer

Kelsie alone is a ray of sunshine. Pair her up with a sunflower field and you can't not smile at her! We enjoyed shooting these SO much.

Kelsie is a junior this year at Gretna High. She is a member of my Model Crew and I just love her:) Kelsie is a talented singer, cheerleader, and the reigning GHS Princess.

Kelsie also modeled the MBP Model Crew tshirt for me:) Simple but perfect! And they're oh so comfy.

I even shot a little video during our shoot too! One of my fave mini films that I've done!!

Back to School | South Central Virginia Senior Photography

It's that time again ALREADY and summer is winding down. School supplies have been purchased and backpacks are ready to go. But what about your wardrobe? Does it need a few fresh new pieces to kick off this new school year? OF COURSE! 

Here are a few tips for back to school clothing shopping: 

-Shop sales (more for your buck!)
-Thrifting and consignment stores (again, more for your buck) often have top brands at lower prices, some even still have the tags!
-Go with pieces that can mix and match....not all prints

Pinterest is so amazing not only visually, but to be able to find the exact content I'm looking for, especially when it comes to clothing:)  Here are some helpful links/images:

Jeans: 
Errrrybody wears jeans. They're easily dressed up or down too. Here are a few neat looks that I found on Polyvore:) You may already have jeans, so just pair them up with cute tops, add a jacket, or throw on some wedges to dress them up a bit! Mix and match:)

How about white denim? Lindsey nailed this outfit, giving these white jeans a dressy look by adding such a chic top! 

Back to school usually brings a lot of tension....but when you're wearing a cute outfit or know that you have comfortable but fashionable clothes, you can feel SO much better about returning to your studies.

Model Crew Shoot | Lakeside | Chatham, Virginia Senior Photography

Part 2 of my Model Crew session took place over by Elkhorn lake. We didn't shoot long, as a strong storm was quickly approaching, but we did manage a few:) Each model chose her own outfit and the hair & MUA (Dara Pettiford) relaxed the styling a bit after shooting the vintage pool party. I am so thankful for these girls, for their desire to be on my Model Crew, and for their willingness to fight the heat the day of this shoot. Working with them is so much fun and I hope that they can remember our time together as a highlight of their high school years!

Let's get started with Cami, she is such a sweet girl! 

Brooke got us all access to the lake, so thanks girlie! I just love the shot of her laughing:) 

Chandler has so much personality, I just love where she's kicking her foot up out of the water!

Haley is such a ray of sunshine! Her smile is infectious! 

Lindsay is fierce and fabulous....that last image of her is my fave:)

Farewell Class of 2016 | Downtown Graduation Shoot

My Class of 2016 Model Team has definitely been a group that has left an imprint on my heart. I have enjoyed getting to know these ladies and having them in front of my lens. I know that they're destined for great things (regardless of the world's standards). I pray that they stay true to themselves and remember our fun times together!! 

We got together (FINALLY, after trying several times to coordinate a date) for a fun farewell shoot in downtown Danville. I wanted to photograph them in their caps and gowns, as well as in a tshirt representing the college they plan to attend! It was kinda hot, but they were troopers and we all had fun:) Gosh, I miss these girls already!

Farewells: 

Brianna was such a fab model and was thrilled to be a part of the model team! She quickly made friends with everyone, was always eager, and I will never forget her smile! Love you, Bri!

Bri's quote of choice as she moves forward to continue her education at Averett University is:

Emmalee has been a model for 2 years (was a Junior model last year) and was always eager to assist me whenever I needed someone! I sure hope that we can schedule in a time to grab a Brown Sugar Cinnamon shake from Brewed Awakening sometime soon! 

Emmalee plans to attend Lynchburg College in the fall AND continue to pursue her love of dance. Her quote of choice:

Kaitlyn has the most amazing hair and I will always think of our fake snow shoot whenever I think of her!! We had so many laughs that day:) She has a great family and I know that great things are in store for her!

Kaitlyn is headed to UVA this fall and shared:

Kayley is such a ray of sunshine...even when it rains for her shoot! (You can check out her rainy day shoot here). She loves my kids (and they love her) and I will be forever thankful to have had our paths cross. She has left an imprint on them and me that will never be forgotten! 

Kayley is headed to Averett this fall, and her chosen quote was:
"Cause your story's far from over and your journey's just begun."

Leah is such a glowing, huge ball of personality and I will love her forever! She is a pageant queen, model extraordinaire, and has a really amazing family too! She can be indecisive at times, but I'm confident that she will trust God's plan for her and has a very bright future ahead! 

Leah is off to UVA this fall, and shared this quote: 
"So don't be afraid to make mistakes, to stumble and fall, cause most of the time, the greatest rewards come from doing the things that scare you the most. Maybe you'll get everything you wish for. Lindsey is one of the strongest people I know. She has faced huge challenges, and despite the struggles, still has a smile on her face. Lindsey was this year's fashionista...she was always decked out perfectly, accessories and all! She has such an amazing family, and I can't wait to see what God does with her! 

Lindsey will be attending DCC this fall, and shared this quote:
"Life is a journey and only YOU hold the key." 

Sydney is a fighter. I've had seen her overcome obstacles, and I know that she will continue to do so! I have loved working with her and her Grandmother throughout this past year. They are some of the sweetest people ever! I know that Sydney is destined for greatness:) 

Sydney is off to Averett this fall and shared this quote:
"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams."

Even though Abby didn't make it to our farewell shoot, I can't forget about her! Abby is such a sweet soul...I am thankful to have had you on the team, Abby! 

Abby's quote of choice is "Today is where your book begins, the rest is still unwritten." 

One of Abby's images was selected to be the cover image for my 2017 Senior Magazine.

Gonna miss you all....time to implement a model alumni program of some sort to get us all back together again!

Katie | 2014 Senior | Senior Photography

Katie made sure to book her session early (last spring)! We planned out her September senior session and incorporated her personality and interests. I was excited to hear that Katie plays guitar, so of course I had to have some fun with that.  She was also one of the few seniors who has brought their class ring to their session! Jacob | 2014 Altavista Senior

Meet Jacob. He's a handsome 2014 senior at Altavista High. We had lots of fun at his session, despite his reluctance to "love" taking photos:) What guy does, right? LOL

Mia | 2014 Senior | Danville, VA Senior Photographer

Meet Mia. She is one of my 2014 Senior Models and attends GW High School. She is so freakin gorgeous...like, for real, it shouldn't be legal to look that amazing. We met up at the salon to start the session with hair and makeup with Katie. Then we headed downtown for the shoot. Here are a few of my favorites:)

We switched up the look for Mia's hair and had it all down for the 2nd half of her session:) Mia also had her boyfriend step in on a few:) I love this candid shot of them! She did too!
