We had a lot of fun with Doss Family last weekend! {Yes I am behind on blogging!} These two kids, Lathan and Sophie, were so bubbly and their smiles are just priceless! They really are...it's seriously difficult to get them both to smile at the same time! Hahaha! Anyways, Amanda contacted me for a Fall family portrait...and I'd say these are all keepers:)

Logan | 2013 Altavista Senior | Altavista, Virginia Photographer

Logan is a 2013 Senior from Altavista...another beautiful Senior to add to our list! Logan plays softball for the Colonels, is yearbook editor, and is involved with many other school clubs! She has absolutely amazingly gorgeous RED hair! I am so jealous! And those EYES! We started off her session at Altavista High...then finished up at a local park:) Here are a few favorites from her session!

Carrie & Kattie | Sister Session | Altavista, VA Photographer

Remember Kattie's Senior Session? Well she contacted me shortly after it to schedule a fall sister session! Of course I was happy to photograph her again:) And it was so nice to meet her sister, Carrie! These two sisters were a lot of fun...and showed me some beautiful countryside! We headed up to their farm by Leesville Lake, as well as an old country store.

Here are a few peeks at their session from yesterday evening:

Carrie plays college ball for Hollins University, and Kattie plays for Gretna High as well as a travel team, Piedmont Pride!

We finished up their session lakeside...or should I say IN the lake!

Told ya they were tons of fun! So brave to get into that cold water! And then to jump up and down in it!

Makayla | 2013 Gretna Senior | Gretna, Virginia Photographer

Makayla is yet another GORGEOUS senior that we have had the honor of photographing! And not only that, she has the BEST personality! So fun! Makayla was so excited about her session, and it definitely showed when we met up:) There is nothing a photographer likes more than an enthusiastic client! Makayla rocked each and every pose...to a tee. I told her she needs to get involved with pageants because she could totally go all the way!

Cassidy...can I just say 1 word? GORGEOUS!  She was so excited when she contacted us to do her session, so we were a little bummed when her original session date was a rainy day. BUT...these photos were SO WORTH THE WAIT! I am having a pity party over here, wishing that my senior photos could have been done in outfits like hers (that she totally styled) and in locations like this! Cassidy was so much fun too...and totally up for anything we asked her to do! I am almost done with her session, so here are a few [several] favorites!

Hannah & Zach | Engaged | Chatham, Virginia Photographer

Remember one of my recent seniors, the lovely Hannah? Well she's engaged! I couldn't have been more thrilled to be asked to do their engagement photos! I met Zach and can say that I approve:) Hehe, like my opinion matters! Ha! Anyways, yall just won't believe how in sync these 2 are...it was crazy how one knew what the other would say or do or how I would pose one and the other just fell right on into place! Zach and Hannah met through church. Zach serves the U.S. Army and is learning how to fly helicopters! He is currently stationed in Alabama...quite a ways from his love! Their wedding is scheduled for November 2013...

Here are a few of my favorites from their session so far...I'm not quite finished:)

Hannah is a 2013 Homeschool Senior...go HS! (Just a plug here, but I'm currently homeschooling a child (not my own) and totally support the idea!) Hannah was a ton of fun and up for anything that I asked her to do:) When we started, I asked her if she liked having her photos taken...to which she replied, "not really." HA! Hopefully she has a different opinion after her session with us:) I just wrapped up editing her session, so I thought I would share a few faves until I can get them all uploaded for her into her gallery:) Check out this beautiful young lady!

Kattie | 2013 Gretna Senior | Gretna, Virginia Photographer

Kattie is yet another beautiful senior that I've had the honor of photographing this year. Kattie's friend, Marissa, our first 2013 Senior, talked her into booking with me after she tagged along on her session:) So, I had already met Kattie prior to her session, and I knew she was going to be tons of fun! I loved her use of accessories, her hair color (it was lighter the last time I saw her), and her willingness to pose however I asked her to! I am not quite finished with her session, but here are a few favorites so far...I had a hard time narrowing them down!

We started downtown...

She has simply gorgeous eyes...

Of course, as always, field shots are some of my favorites! Look how warm the light was! I was in LOVE...I could shoot there everyday and not get tired of it:)

When I told Kattie that I wanted to try a hat with her, she was hesitant at first..."I don't like hats!" I told her just try it...I must say, we were both happy with the results. I told her she might as well start wearing one everyday since she works it so well! :)

Yep, Kattie is a baller! She also plays volleyball! Quite the athlete:)

Mary | 2013 Gretna Senior | Gretna, Virginia Photographer

I had the pleasure of photographing Mary, a 2013 Gretna Senior...may I say that she is beautiful inside and out! When I first arrived, Mary and her Mom showed me all these neat things that Mary's grandmother had a hand in: a quilt, a painted milk can, a basket...her whole session would be centered around her Grandmother, who is suffering from Alzheimers. I was touched! She would bring her Grandmother into the session through all of these things...

We started off at Mary's house, with her Grandmother's basket...not to mention some beautiful flowers:)

Mary was so full of personality...

Here with the quilt her Grandmother made...beautiful! I wanted to take it home with me:) The pearls belonged to her other Grandmother...whom she was named after!

Mary comes from a farming family...and is a member of the FFA at her school:)

And this truck...my goodness, I loved this truck! Her parents actually dated in this truck! How awesome!

The sun was setting, but we squeezed in a few more poses...LOVE this one:)

And this bike matched her boots! How could I not use it?!
