Katelyn and Shawn have been patiently waiting on their blog while I worked out my technical issues:) They were a super fun couple to work with and we had an absolute blast on their session.  Once again, I had a really hard time narrowing down which ones to put on the blog!

Katelyn and Shawn met at college. He proposed to her earlier this year on her 21st birthday...as if that wasn't an awesome birthday present--get this...he proposed in helicopter over the ocean! How awesome is that?!

Ok, so I told Katelyn to strike a pose...then surprised Shawn by asking him to do the same pose. HAHA! I explained that I would blog them side by side. This was the first one...

Here was the 2nd...I let Shawn go first:) Katelyn is toooo hilarious!

So, by the 3rd pose...Katelyn got smart. She decided to do a more difficult pose that she knew would be funny coming from Shawn!

These 2 were made for each other...so much fun. They have to order this one;)

I could keep going on...but I have other sessions to catch up on. We'll end with more gorgeousness...

The Burkholders | Anniversary Session | Chatham, Virginia Photographer

Meet the Burkholders. They have been married a little over a year...and never had Engagement photos taken! It's never too late people! We love meeting new people, and these two are quite the couple. They endured the cold and the wind yesterday to get their session done! The sun was behind the clouds for most of the session, but decided to peek out a few times. We took advantage of those moments and got some great shots! I'm so jealous of Dianna's hair...all that wind and it still looked perfect! Definitely a plus for photo sessions:)

Here are a few of my favorites so far:)

There was lots of snuggling...which was totally fine with them, since it was so chilly!

Sandy didn't quite get all of the foliage:)

Emily | 2013 Gretna Senior | Gretna, Virginia Photographer

Emily is a 2013 Senior at Gretna High. She and her Mom were so excited about her session, as were we! Emily has a great sense of style...her Mom said she felt like they were going on vacation with everything they packed for the session! I mean, she only had 8 pairs of shoes! LOL! We had so much fun though...I had a hard time, once again, narrowing down to a few favorites, so here are several:) Yet again, another gorgeous senior!

We started downtown, after the fabulous Katie Mosher did her makeup at Genesis Day Spa.

She reminds me a beautiful Indian princess here...

She said, "I feel like a sophisticated business woman in this outfit!" Well honey, you were working it!

Every woman should own a red pair of heels...

 And of course a little country flair...

She said she wanted unique props...so I let her use my antique camera score:) Brownie!

Emily plays softball for GHS and for Diamond Fever...she wanted to do this pose, and used many of her game balls. Each one of those is dated and marked with the game. Such a great way to remember those special moments!

Emily plans to attend Roanoke after graduation, where she will play softball. And check out that bling! Her state championship ring from 2010.

Love all of the color here...

And here is a concept that I wanted Emily to model...a Boho kind of feel. LOVE the way it turned out!

Chloe | 2013 Chatham Senior | Chatham, Virginia Photographer

Chloe is a good friend of mine, she dates my cousin, and she's just gorgeous:) I have been excited about her session since she booked it last Spring! She also was the first 2013 Senior to book us, so she is getting some awesome goodies:) We did her session this past Sunday {I know, I am trying to catch up on blogging}, which got off to a rough start. We had some issues with getting makeup done, but it all worked out...and was totally worth all of the stress beforehand to get these amazing photos afterwards! We didn't quite get to finish her session in time, so I shot a few more of her the next day after I did her BF Caleb's photos:) Hence the different hair! LOL. I had a really hard time just choosing a few to post, so there are several! I just love her, her personality is top notch...so fun to be around!

Chloe is the reigning Miss Chatham High, was crowned Homecoming Queen last Friday, plays volleyball, and enjoys hunting...YES, you read that right, hunting! And not just for deer around here...this girl goes bear hunting in CANADA with her Dad! Ha! It's still hard for me to comprehend that all of these amazing qualities fit into this one girl! Sigh. Well, enjoy looking at some of my favorites:)

We had a lot of fun with Doss Family last weekend! {Yes I am behind on blogging!} These two kids, Lathan and Sophie, were so bubbly and their smiles are just priceless! Logan | 2013 Altavista Senior | Altavista, Virginia Photographer

Logan is a 2013 Senior from Altavista...another beautiful Senior to add to our list! Logan plays softball for the Colonels, is yearbook editor, and is involved with many other school clubs! She has absolutely amazingly gorgeous RED hair! I am so jealous! And those EYES! Allie | 6 months old! | Gretna, Virginia Photographer

I can't believe Allie is 6 months old already! She has been coming to us since she was born...so precious. We got together the other evening for her session...Kim, her lovely Mom, got in on some of the action too:) Check out how big she is getting!

Carrie & Kattie | Sister Session | Altavista, VA Photographer

Remember Kattie's Senior Session? Well she contacted me shortly after it to schedule a fall sister session! Of course I was happy to photograph her again:) And it was so nice to meet her sister, Carrie! These two sisters were a lot of fun...and showed me some beautiful countryside! We headed up to their farm by Leesville Lake, as well as an old country store.

Makayla is yet another GORGEOUS senior that we have had the honor of photographing! And not only that, she has the BEST personality! So fun! Makayla was so excited about her session, and it definitely showed when we met up:) There is nothing a photographer likes more than an enthusiastic client!
