Alyssa is a 2015 senior at Chatham Hall and one of Megan Bryant Photography's 2015 senior models. Her senior portrait session was extremely unique because we got to use the grounds on her campus. Chatham Hall has a beautiful campus and the day was perfect for photos...we dodged a few storm clouds, but it all worked out! She is such a lovely young lady. Enjoy a few favorites from her day:

Rebrand | Megan Bryant Photography | Danville, Virginia

A rebrand was something that I knew I wanted for 2015. I just never knew how hard it would be or how long it would take!! It is now March, and as of today, I'm finally finished with the process. I want to thank Golden Fox Design for her hard work and patience:) I will continue to find ways to implement the elements that she came up with, but for now I'm just happy we're done!

Here's to a new look for 2015 and a prosperous 2016 senior season!

I love cards. And stationary. And paper products of all kinds really:) I love the convenience of text messages and FB messages, but I'm kinda old fashioned I guess because one of my favorite things is getting mail! So I recently came across this site, MINTED, and their products are AMAZING! So I thought I would blog about some of my favorites:) They offer just about everything, from cards to invitations to photo products! My favorite thing of all though is that they offer foil press. Foil press = shiny and ohhhhh I love shiny!

Getting married soon? Check out Minted's wedding invitations! There is quite the selection...and they have foil options too! This one jumped out at me since I've seen a lot of people go with a rustic theme that includes Mason jars.

This one has a Gatsby feel to it:) And it's foil.

And who doesn't love a good floral design:)

Let's move on to something unexpected. Um, ok, personalizable wrapping paper?! How amazing is that?! They have photo options too:)

There are art prints and wall art...and photo art!

There are framing options too! It's like they thought of IT ALL!

I personally can't wait to get my hands on some of their stationary cards, the foil ones:) With my new branding, I think my girls will love the silver ones I have picked out!

Senior Pictures | Danville Virginia and Surrounding Areas Photographer

Brooke's senior photo session was definitely a memorable one. She's a girl who knows who she is and wanted to showcase that in her photos. We started her session on the softball field at DRHS . Brooke is a ball player right down to her bones, so of course we had to spotlight that:) She also has a true love that goes by the name Jeep! LOL...girls and their rides, right? We finished up Brooke's portraits out in the Chatham area. Here are a few faves from her portrait session:

I had that scarf with me and threw it on over her blue dress...PERFECT combo:) The shot above was Brooke's Mom's favorite from the day:)

Fashion Inspiration | Danville, Virginia Custom Photography

Winter is cold and sometimes blustery. And can be plain out miserable. Luckily, I live in an area that is not like this ALL WINTER LONG...we often are blessed with nice days during winter, which has me chomping at the bit to get out there and shoot people! HA!

Another reason some people may avoid winter photos is because they think they can't look cute and not freeze to death at the same time. Well, fear not! I'm here to help with the winter fashion blues and can't wait to share some looks that I recently came across, as well as some looks from my own seniors!

Winter opens up a whole new realm of opportunity for expression through fashion. I ran across this blog recently that shares 60 trendy winter looks! Here is one of them:) LOVE this skirt and blouse combo!

Or how about jackets? You can still look amazing and be warm too! I love peacoats and trenches, but this embellished leather jacket looks amazing!

Fur is one of my favorites, and has def been on trend this season. I loved adding it in with prom dresses! But fur is a great addition to a plaid shirt or even sequin looks!

Don't fear the winter wardrobe when it comes to photos...you can still look amazing despite the cooler temps! I shoot senior sessions year round. Senior Portraits | Danville, Virginia Senior Photography

Mariah is one of my 2015 Senior models. I remember meeting her for the first time and loving how adorable she was! She had so many different ideas for her session, so it was tons of fun to plan. I loved ALL of her outfits, especially the romper! We started her senior portrait session in downtown Danville and finished up out in rural Chatham. Her session may or may not have included my running from a bee (and guiding my clients away from a yellow jackets' nest)! See, your senior session can be full of so many different memories! Bedford Senior Photos | Bedford, Virginia Senior Photography

Clay's senior session was definitely a memorable one. I headed over to his family's farm in Bedford, knowing that he wanted photos with his dog, some around the farm, and that his Mom was so excited for them! I drove up with concerns about the weather, but was determined to get his session done, as he was leaving for college the next day! As I pulled up, I knew this session would be amazing...the farm was HUGE! Clay and his Dad chauffeured me and my assistant around on a side-by-side ATV and when I say we rode all over the farm, I mean ALL OVER THE FARM! They have such a beautiful place and perfect scenery for photos! Oh to live closer to them!

We started off with Clay's "hunting look" and then moved on to the pond...there was a dock and a canoe, and I could have stayed there for days! It was hot and humid, and the storms were rolling in. We were lucky for a while, as they seemed to be bypassing us.

Our luck started to run out, as the wind picked up some. But we kept shooting! Clay took me over to this HUGE rock in the woods, which had a huge dropoff on the opposite side. Truly a landmark...we climbed to the top of the little mountain, where we captured some of my favorite shots of the day!

The storms eventually caught us though...my last few shots were taken while it was starting to rain.

Clay's session was quite the adventure...our ride back up to the barn was in the pouring rain. Lightning actually struck in a field right down the road, which resulted in the Fire Dept and rescue personnel on scene! But all in all, Clay's senior photo session was a total success!

I love hats...they're such a total FUN addition to senior photo sessions. Hats can be classy, sassy, or just laid back. My girls know that I currently have multiple hats for them to choose from on sessions:) So here's this month's fashion inspiration spill on hats:

And...how amazing are these! I love them all for different reasons...and could totally see myself using them for senior sessions!

Unique Senior Portraits | Danville, Virginia Photography

Kelsey is one of my 2015 senior models. She has been working hard with promoting MBP...so she was totally game when I shared my ideas with her for this session. Together we planned the outfits all around different edgy looks to pair with the feather crown. I have always wanted to do something like this, so it was nice to shoot something for my own creative outlet:) Here are some faves from the session:

November Recap | Premiere Senior Photography | Chatham, Virginia

This past month has seriously flown by...way too fast! Christmas is just around the corner! We're wrapping up Thanksgiving get-togethers, eating leftovers, and pulling out the Christmas decorations. Where did this month go?! November wasn't quite as insanely booked as last month, thank goodness, but I did get to photograph some awesome seniors! There were a few other sessions too:) Here are some favorites from the month:

My seniors were gorgeous as always:) Morgan's shoot was downtown and I just love how this wind-blown one turned out!

Chelsi's senior session was full of the beautiful fall colors.

Peyton knew what she was doing when she paired the stripes with the quilted vest! Such a great fall fashion statement! I love the boots and the socks as well:)

As I stated earlier, I got to shoot more than just seniors this month:) Lindsay's teen style session included lots of dance! I love the movement in this photo:

Eric and Dulce are like seriously the world's most attractive couple...we had such a great time shooting their engagement portraits despite all the wind!

The Seays will be welcoming their little bundle after Christmas!

Faith and her boys make such a beautiful family. They were troopers for their chilly session.

Rae Anne & Kavon booked me again...this time for their engagement photos! And this time, there was a new addition to their family! Meet Jade, their beautiful pit:)

Lydia's session back in August took place around town (Chatham). We enjoyed walking around town discovering little nooks for her photos:) Lydia has such a natural beauty...and I love her short hair! It's not often that I shoot senior girls with short hair, but she totally pulls off the look! Lydia is a homeschool 2015 high school senior, whom also attends church with me!
