Cap and Gown Photos | Chatham, Virginia Photography

This session almost brought on the tears. Tori has had a session done with me every season for the past year. And now her senior year has come to an end. SO bittersweet!

We got together in downtown Chatham, Virginia to shoot her cap and gown photos for not only Tunstall High School, but also Danville Community College! Girl got brains hahaha. It's so awesome that students are able to dually enroll and get those credits in!

Here are some of my faves from Tori's cap and gown photos.

Sunflowers and Kelsie | Gretna, Virginia Senior Photographer

Kelsie alone is a ray of sunshine. Pair her up with a sunflower field and you can't not smile at her! We enjoyed shooting these SO much.

Kelsie is a junior this year at Gretna High. She is a member of my Model Crew and I just love her:) Kelsie is a talented singer, cheerleader, and the reigning GHS Princess.

Here are a few favorites from our sunflower shoot!

"Keep your face to the sunshine and you can't see the shadows. It's what the sunflowers do." -Helen Keller

She may be fierce, but she's FUN too!!

I love this hat! It's part of my accessories collection that is available for all of my seniors to pick from during their session!

Kelsie also modeled the MBP Model Crew tshirt for me:) Simple but perfect! And they're oh so comfy.

I even shot a little video during our shoot too! One of my fave mini films that I've done!!

Kelsie and I had a blast at the sunflower field. Special thanks to Mark & Hillary Marstin for letting us use the field:)

I still have a few slots left for fall sessions!! Just use the Contact tab at the top of the page to get started.

I can't wait to hear from you!

Farewell Class of 2016 | Downtown Graduation Shoot

My Class of 2016 Model Team has definitely been a group that has left an imprint on my heart. I have enjoyed getting to know these ladies and having them in front of my lens. I know that they're destined for great things (regardless of the world's standards). I pray that they stay true to themselves and remember our fun times together!!

We got together (FINALLY, after trying several times to coordinate a date) for a fun farewell shoot in downtown Danville. I wanted to photograph them in their caps and gowns, as well as in a tshirt representing the college they plan to attend! It was kinda hot, but they were troopers and we all had fun:) Gosh, I miss these girls already!

Check out this mini-film of our shoot in downtown Danville.

Farewells:

Brianna was such a fab model and was thrilled to be a part of the model team! She quickly made friends with everyone, was always eager, and I will never forget her smile! Love you, Bri!

Bri's quote of choice as she moves forward to continue her education at Averett University is:
"Blessed are those who see beautiful things in humble places where others see nothing." -Camille Pissarro

Emmalee has been a model for 2 years (was a Junior model last year) and was always eager to assist me whenever I needed someone! I sure hope that we can schedule in a time to grab a Brown Sugar Cinnamon shake from Brewed Awakening sometime soon!

Emmalee plans to attend Lynchburg College in the fall AND continue to pursue her love of dance. Her quote of choice:
"You can never be overdressed or overeducated." -Oscar Wilde

Kaitlyn has the most amazing hair and I will always think of our fake snow shoot whenever I think of her!! We had so many laughs that day:) She has a great family and I know that great things are in store for her!

Kaitlyn is headed to UVA this fall and shared:
"Now is the time for all of us to become the people we have always dreamed of being. This is your world. You're here. You matter. The world is waiting."
-Haley James Scott, One Tree Hill

Kayley is such a ray of sunshine...even when it rains for her shoot! (You can check out her rainy day shoot here). She loves my kids (and they love her) and I will be forever thankful to have had our paths cross. She has left an imprint on them and me that will never be forgotten!

Kayley is headed to Averett this fall, and her chosen quote was:
"Cause your story's far from over and your journey's just begun."

Leah is such a glowing, huge ball of personality and I will love her forever! She is a pageant queen, model extraordinaire, and has a really amazing family too! She can be indecisive at times, but I'm confident that she will trust God's plan for her and has a very bright future ahead!

Leah is off to UVA this fall, and shared this quote:
"So don't be afraid to make mistakes, to stumble and fall, cause most of the time, the greatest rewards come from doing the things that scare you the most. Maybe you'll get everything you wish for. Maybe you'll get more than you ever could have imagined. Who knows where life will take you. The road is long and in the end, the journey is the destination."
-Coach Whitey Durham, One Tree Hill

Lindsey is one of the strongest people I know. She has faced huge challenges, and despite the struggles, still has a smile on her face. Lindsey was this year's fashionista...she was always decked out perfectly, accessories and all! She has such an amazing family, and I can't wait to see what God does with her!

Lindsey will be attending DCC this fall, and shared this quote:
"Life is a journey and only YOU hold the key."

Sydney is a fighter. I've had seen her overcome obstacles, and I know that she will continue to do so! I have loved working with her and her Grandmother throughout this past year. They are some of the sweetest people ever! I know that Sydney is destined for greatness:)

Sydney is off to Averett this fall and shared this quote:
"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams."
-Eleanor Roosevelt

Even though Abby didn't make it to our farewell shoot, I can't forget about her! Abby is such a sweet soul...I am thankful to have had you on the team, Abby!

Abby's quote of choice is "Today is where your book begins, the rest is still unwritten."

One of Abby's images was selected to be the cover image for my 2017 Senior Magazine.

Gonna miss you all....time to implement a model alumni program of some sort to get us all back together again!

Rainy Day Photos | Rainy Senior Photography Session

As I'm sure most of you are VERY aware of, we've been experiencing LOTS of rain here in Virginia....for really, the past TWO WEEKS. [I want summer back, WAHHHH!] And with lots of rain comes rescheduled photo sessions. Kayley however, was up for the challenge of shooting in the rain. Yes, this was all HER idea!

Hunter wanted 1 thing from his session: football photos! After some convincing, I did manage to get him to agree to some casual photos as well:) His original session was interrupted by some pretty serious thunderstorms, so we rescheduled. In the meantime, he had his braces removed, so all in all it worked out to our advantage! He has a great smile and did great considering the heatwe endured! Hunter brought along his girlfriend who joined in a few as well:) Enjoy a few of my faves: Megan Bryant Photography

2016 Senior Models | Boho Chic | Custom Senior Photography, Danville, Virginia

My group model session was TONS of fun! We went with a boho chic theme, which the girls loved planning for. I had an old chair that I set up in a field. My husband cut some bamboo poles for me (and got eat up with ticks of all sizes) to make a teepee. One of my models brought the area rug....I threw in some pillows and lanterns, and TADA! A hippy camp fit for any sisterhood! LOVED it! I have models this year from Gretna, Chatham, Westover, Dan River, Tunstall, and GW high schools. Included here are my models from Westover, Dan River, Tunstall, and GW. Look for a separate post coming soon of my Gretna and Chatham models. MUA: Katie Mosher, River City Salon and Spa in Danville.

These ladies are tons of fun to work with...we have since met for our first "Sweet Frog Social." It was nice to be together, especially since Lindsey (from Westover, pictured above) had just lost her Dad to a tragic incident. We all are keeping her and her family in our prayers. I am thankful for such a great group of models who def seem to come together when needed.

Look for more photos of these lovely ladies as their senior sessions approach! If you're hoping to get in on this year's calendar, please don't wait! Summer is almost full (I have some Aug availability). Fall is almost full as well. Use the contact tab at the top to reach me!

I look forward to hearing from you! Megan

Fashion Inspiration | Danville, Virginia Custom Photography

Winter is cold and sometimes blustery. And can be plain out miserable. Luckily, I live in an area that is not like this ALL WINTER LONG...we often are blessed with nice days during winter, which has me chomping at the bit to get out there and shoot people! HA!

Another reason some people may avoid winter photos is because they think they can't look cute and not freeze to death at the same time. Well, fear not! I'm here to help with the winter fashion blues and can't wait to share some looks that I recently came across, as well as some looks from my own seniors!

Winter opens up a whole new realm of opportunity for expression through fashion. I ran across this blog recently that shares 60 trendy winter looks! Here is one of them:) LOVE this skirt and blouse combo!

Or how about jackets? You can still look amazing and be warm too! I love peacoats and trenches, but this embellished leather jacket looks amazing!

Fur is one of my favorites, and has def been on trend this season. I loved adding it in with prom dresses! But fur is a great addition to a plaid shirt or even sequin looks!

Don't fear the winter wardrobe when it comes to photos...you can still look amazing despite the cooler temps! I shoot senior sessions year round. If you're looking to book your senior portraits soon, just use the contact tab at the top of the page! I look forward to hearing from you and helping overcome any wardrobe blues!

Stay Stylish! Megan
