Lindsay is one of my 2016 Junior Models. What can I say, she's very talented, beautiful, funny...I could go on! I kinda shot the idea of a fair shoot in Danville by her, expecting her to think that I was crazy, but she was totally all in! I had had a vision of a vintage/retro style dress in red with white polka dots. I shared my vision with Lindsay and her Mom, never expecting them to stick exactly to what I said and search for said dress. Thanks to Amazon, they found the exact dress in my head, and the PERFECT t-strap shoes. The petticoat underneath the dress added the final touch. We met in downtown Danville for hair and makeup with Amanda, shot a few poses in the street, then headed over to the Danville-Pittsylvania County Fairgrounds! The fair is only in town for 2 weeks and the weather was fabulous! We chose a Sunday evening, hoping for less of a crowd--it was! We were able to shoot and maneuver rather easily. Lindsay's Mom and Dad accompanied us on the shoot and are so fun to be around...check out a few photos from our fair shoot!
Caramel apples are a staple product of the fair...I'd never tried a fresh one before. It was SO good!
You know you can't go to the fair and not want a funnel cake!
These popcorn shots were hilarious...one of the fair guys running a game was watching us, laughing! We all got cracked up at Lindsay trying to catch the popcorn! You can see the pieces that she missed on the ground!
We wrapped the session by the light of the carousel where we started. Such an amazing photoshoot at the Danville-Pittsylvania County Fairgrounds!
Lindsay was such a fab model! We laughed, people-watched, twirled, considered riding the Ferris Wheel (only to determine that I would probably not have the space to shoot what I would want), and shot amazing photos! Lindsay's Mom even got us some deep fried Oreos. I'd never had one before then...not bad!
