"We didn't realize we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun."
This model shoot was SO much fun! I am so thankful that we took it back to nature and just hanging out with friends...a shoot I'll never forget!
I love these girls...and that they love spending time in front of my camera. We set up a campsite by a pond and brought out the smores and "hot chocolate!" I loved the pines in background and the calmness of just being out there...the woods were calling!
I loved every second of this shoot and could share SO many more photos, but these are some of my favorites:) Kelsie, Kailey, Tori, and Taylor are beautiful, inside AND out!
I'm sensing a shift coming to MBP. Will you be a part of that? And have you booked your senior session yet? It's not too late. I can't wait to work with you to plan your custom senior session! AND I'm running a sale for the rest of 2017, so contact me ASAP to get in on that! :)

Lindsay is one of my 2016 Junior Models. What can I say, she's very talented, beautiful, funny...I could go on! I kinda shot the idea of a fair shoot in Danville by her, expecting her to think that I was crazy, but she was totally all in! I had had a vision of a vintage/retro style dress in red with white polka dots.
As I'm sure most of you are VERY aware of, we've been experiencing LOTS of rain here in Virginia....for really, the past TWO WEEKS. [I want summer back, WAHHHH!] And with lots of rain comes rescheduled photo sessions. Kayley however, was up for the challenge of shooting in the rain. Yes, this was all HER idea!
Meet Joshua. He's a 2016 senior from Gretna High and also on my model team. Joshua is such a breath of fresh air. It's not often that you run into seniors, let alone senior guys, who are firm in their faith and don't hesitate to stand for what they believe in.
Brianna is one of my 2016 Senior models. I grabbed her one day a couple of weeks ago to head out into a field I had spotted for some summery photos...We also hit a few other areas while we were out and about:)
Hunter wanted 1 thing from his session: football photos! After some convincing, I did manage to get him to agree to some casual photos as well:) His original session was interrupted by some pretty serious thunderstorms, so we rescheduled. In the meantime, he had his braces removed, so all in all it worked out to our advantage! He has a great smile and did great considering the heatwe endured! Hunter brought along his girlfriend who joined in a few as well:) Enjoy a few of my faves:

My group model session was TONS of fun! We went with a boho chic theme, which the girls loved planning for. I had an old chair that I set up in a field. My husband cut some bamboo poles for me (and got eat up with ticks of all sizes) to make a teepee. One of my models brought the area rug....I threw in some pillows and lanterns, and TADA! A hippy camp fit for any sisterhood! LOVED it! I have models this year from Gretna, Chatham, Westover, Dan River, Tunstall, and GW high schools. Included here are my models from Westover, Dan River, Tunstall, and GW. Look for a separate post coming soon of my Gretna and Chatham models. MUA: Katie Mosher, River City Salon and Spa in Danville.
Meet Abby, a GW senior...
Meet Sydney from Westover...and Emmalee, who is homeschooled.
Meet my junior model, Lindsay, from Tunstall!
Meet Brianna (Bri) from Dan River, and Lindsey from Westover!
Ohhhh how I love shots of laughter....
We went down to the creek for a few shots...and a cool down:) The girls enjoyed it!
These ladies are tons of fun to work with...we have since met for our first "Sweet Frog Social." It was nice to be together, especially since Lindsey (from Westover, pictured above) had just lost her Dad to a tragic incident. We all are keeping her and her family in our prayers. I am thankful for such a great group of models who def seem to come together when needed.
Look for more photos of these lovely ladies as their senior sessions approach! If you're hoping to get in on this year's calendar, please don't wait! Summer is almost full (I have some Aug availability). Fall is almost full as well. Use the contact tab at the top to reach me!
I look forward to hearing from you! Megan
Brooke's senior photo session was definitely a memorable one. She's a girl who knows who she is and wanted to showcase that in her photos. We started her session on the softball field at DRHS . Brooke is a ball player right down to her bones, so of course we had to spotlight that:) She also has a true love that goes by the name Jeep! LOL...girls and their rides, right? We finished up Brooke's portraits out in the Chatham area. Here are a few faves from her portrait session:
She has such a killer smile:) A true natural beauty!
I had that scarf with me and threw it on over her blue dress...PERFECT combo:) The shot above was Brooke's Mom's favorite from the day:)
Thanks so much for choosing me as your senior photographer, Brooke! I hope the rest of your senior year is a great time:)
Ready to book your senior session? I have some spring availability left, but please don't wait until the last minute to contact me! You want to ensure that you get the date that you want:)
I look forward to hearing from you and planning your senior session:)

Winter is cold and sometimes blustery. And can be plain out miserable. Luckily, I live in an area that is not like this ALL WINTER LONG...we often are blessed with nice days during winter, which has me chomping at the bit to get out there and shoot people! HA!
Another reason some people may avoid winter photos is because they think they can't look cute and not freeze to death at the same time. Well, fear not! I'm here to help with the winter fashion blues and can't wait to share some looks that I recently came across, as well as some looks from my own seniors!
Winter opens up a whole new realm of opportunity for expression through fashion. I ran across this blog recently that shares 60 trendy winter looks! Here is one of them:) LOVE this skirt and blouse combo!
Or how about jackets? You can still look amazing and be warm too! I love peacoats and trenches, but this embellished leather jacket looks amazing!
Fur is one of my favorites, and has def been on trend this season. I loved adding it in with prom dresses! But fur is a great addition to a plaid shirt or even sequin looks!
Don't fear the winter wardrobe when it comes to photos...you can still look amazing despite the cooler temps! I shoot senior sessions year round. If you're looking to book your senior portraits soon, just use the contact tab at the top of the page! I look forward to hearing from you and helping overcome any wardrobe blues!
Stay Stylish! Megan
Mariah is one of my 2015 Senior models. I remember meeting her for the first time and loving how adorable she was! She had so many different ideas for her session, so it was tons of fun to plan. I loved ALL of her outfits, especially the romper! We started her senior portrait session in downtown Danville and finished up out in rural Chatham. Her session may or may not have included my running from a bee (and guiding my clients away from a yellow jackets' nest)! See, your senior session can be full of so many different memories! Enjoy a few favorites from the day:
Ohhh this top...
LOVE LOVE LOVE this romper...so perfect!
I love the windblown look here:)
Mariah is a dancer, so of course we had to include some dance photos too!
"Dance is the hidden language of the soul." -Martha Graham
And we both loved this shot...so serene.
Mariah, her Mom, and I had a great time during her session! I'm currently booking 2015, which includes 2016 seniors! The inquiries have already been rolling in, so don't wait until the last minute!
I look forward to hearing from you! Megan
