Sunflowers and Kelsie | Gretna, Virginia Senior Photographer

Kelsie alone is a ray of sunshine. Pair her up with a sunflower field and you can't not smile at her! We enjoyed shooting these SO much.

Kelsie is a junior this year at Gretna High. She is a member of my Model Crew and I just love her:) Kelsie is a talented singer, cheerleader, and the reigning GHS Princess.

Kelsie also modeled the MBP Model Crew tshirt for me:) Simple but perfect! And they're oh so comfy.

I even shot a little video during our shoot too! One of my fave mini films that I've done!!

MBP takes NYC | Senior Style Guide Shootout with Brooke Daniels

I am soooooo beyond thrilled that I was able to travel to NYC for the first Senior Style Guide Destination Shootout. Brooke Daniels is the QUEEN of styling shoots...we shot in Grand Central Station, Bryant Park, along the streets, and in Times Square at midnight! Such an amazing time...I made new friends and met some that I've only known online. This shootout was a great prep for the PUSH conference that I'm attending next month in Indiana, also by Senior Style Guide. Camryn in Grand Central Station...loved this nautical look!

Nick is such a killer natural model...this is my fave shot that I have of him.

We didn't let the rain stop us either...we just did the best we could with what we had and still got killer images!

The second night of shooting in Times Square was with these two, Parker and Hannah!

2016 Senior Models | Boho Chic | Custom Senior Photography, Danville, Virginia

My group model session was TONS of fun! We went with a boho chic theme, which the girls loved planning for. I had an old chair that I set up in a field. My husband cut some bamboo poles for me (and got eat up with ticks of all sizes) to make a teepee. One of my models brought the area rug....I threw in some pillows and lanterns, and TADA! A hippy camp fit for any sisterhood! LOVED it! I have models this year from Gretna, Chatham, Westover, Dan River, Tunstall, and GW high schools. Ohhhh how I love shots of laughter....

We went down to the creek for a few shots...and a cool down:) The girls enjoyed it!

These ladies are tons of fun to work with...we have since met for our first "Sweet Frog Social." It was nice to be together, especially since Lindsey (from Westover, pictured above) had just lost her Dad to a tragic incident. We all are keeping her and her family in our prayers. I am thankful for such a great group of models who def seem to come together when needed.

Spring seems to finally be arriving, after what seemed like a never-ending winter! Florals are definitely among my favorites in current fashion trends. I love cards. And stationary. And paper products of all kinds really:) I love the convenience of text messages and FB messages, but I'm kinda old fashioned I guess because one of my favorite things is getting mail! So I recently came across this site, MINTED, and their products are AMAZING! So I thought I would blog about some of my favorites:) They offer just about everything, from cards to invitations to photo products! My favorite thing of all though is that they offer foil press. Foil press = shiny and ohhhhh I love shiny!

Getting married soon? Check out Minted's wedding invitations! There is quite the selection...and they have foil options too! This one jumped out at me since I've seen a lot of people go with a rustic theme that includes Mason jars.

Senior Pictures | Danville Virginia and Surrounding Areas Photographer

Brooke's senior photo session was definitely a memorable one. She's a girl who knows who she is and wanted to showcase that in her photos. We started her session on the softball field at DRHS . Brooke is a ball player right down to her bones, so of course we had to spotlight that:) She also has a true love that goes by the name Jeep! LOL...girls and their rides, right? We finished up Brooke's portraits out in the Chatham area. Here are a few faves from her portrait session:

Senior Portraits | Danville, Virginia Senior Photography

Mariah is one of my 2015 Senior models. I remember meeting her for the first time and loving how adorable she was! She had so many different ideas for her session, so it was tons of fun to plan. I loved ALL of her outfits, especially the romper! We started her senior portrait session in downtown Danville and finished up out in rural Chatham. Her session may or may not have included my running from a bee (and guiding my clients away from a yellow jackets' nest)! See, your senior session can be full of so many different memories!
